Job Overview
As a Construction Site Security Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment for construction projects in London. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and potential security breaches.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the construction site to deter and detect any unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access points, check credentials, and ensure only authorized personnel enter the site.
- Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Collaborate with site managers and construction personnel to address security concerns and maintain effective communication.
- Complete detailed and accurate security reports documenting any incidents or observations.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and client guidelines.
- Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a security operative, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is essential.
- CSCS card (preferable).
- 1-2 years security experience in a similar company or construction site (A familiarity with construction environments is preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent personal management skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform regular patrols on foot.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures is a plus.
